Our Benefits

The Benefits of Our Supported Living Model

Our services provide significant benefits, promoting personal growth, safety, and improved well-being while ensuring tailored support and community inclusion.

Our model empowers individuals to make choices about their daily routines, living arrangements, and care, leading to increased confidence and self-reliance. Personalised support plans are adapted to changing needs, allowing you to develop and master life skills.

You benefit from secure, comfortable accommodation and professional assistance, which reduces the risk of crisis or hospital admissions. Our staff provide a reliable safety net, ensuring help is available when needed without compromising your independence.

Care is tailored to individual requirements and can be scaled from minimal support to 24/7. Support workers are skilled in helping people with complex, cognitive, or behavioural challenges manage emotional well-being and daily life.

We encourage and support participation in social activities, community events, volunteering, and employment. This combats isolation, fosters friendships, and helps you build and maintain meaningful relationships.

Research shows supported living can decrease hospital admissions for people with complex mental health needs. Our engaging environments and proactive support enhance emotional and mental health.

People using supported living often experience improved functioning, social integration, and a greater sense of belonging and dignity. We focus on your strengths to help you thrive and achieve your personal goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers. Here are some of the most common queries we receive.

Supported living is a service designed to help people live as independently as possible. You have your own home (with your own tenancy agreement) and receive support from a provider like NLN. This support is flexible and built around your specific needs, from a few hours a week to 24/7 care.

Our support plans are co-created with the individual at the center of the process. We work closely with you, your family, social workers, and any other relevant professionals to conduct a thorough assessment of your needs, wishes, and goals. This collaborative approach ensures the plan is truly person-centred and effective.

We offer a range of high-quality, modern properties to suit different needs and preferences. This includes self-contained one-bedroom flats for those who want their own space, as well as shared houses and bungalows for individuals who enjoy a more communal living environment. All our homes are in safe communities with good local amenities.

Funding is typically split into two parts. Your housing costs (like rent) are usually covered by Housing Benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit. Your care and support costs are funded separately, often through a personal budget from your local authority, direct payments, or self-funding.
